Long-time friends and clients of Lori’s, Terry Dean Cooper and Terri Lyn Cooper’s home was the front page story of the LIVING section of the Gazette on April 21, 2013. The gorgeous 7,620 square foot home sits on six acres off East Post Road SE in a lovely secluded area that is a very short commute to Cedar Rapids, Marion or Hiawatha.

On the outside, The Jackson Hole, WY, and Colorado inspired home features rustic stone and reclaimed barn wood. The inside aesthetic keeps with the rustic feel with vaulted wood ceilings and a floor to ceiling fireplace. Walls and furnishings are mostly earth tones with unexpected splashes of color. Besides having a gorgeous aesthetic the home also features many modern amenities including a whole-house audio system, radiant heating floors throughout the entire house, and computer/phone manageable lights and locks.

Terri Lyn believes hiring a designer actually saves money in the long run because you don’t have to redo things that didn’t turn out as you thought. “Lori was an amazing help,” she says. “Her color memory is unbelievable.” The reason for this is because Lori thinks in 3-D, her subconscious registering infinite details. She can “see” a room or effect in a way many clients can not.
